Machine embroidery gives your branding a premium, tactile finish that lasts the lifetime of the garment. The first choice for corporate workwear, polo shirts and professional teamwear.
Machine embroidery uses high-speed multi-needle embroidery machines to stitch your design directly into the fabric of the garment using thread. Unlike printed techniques, embroidery creates a three-dimensional, textured finish that is unmistakably premium.
Your artwork is first digitised — converted from an image into stitch instructions that the machine can follow. This one-time process creates a stitch file that can be reused for future orders. The result is a crisp, raised design that maintains its appearance through repeated washing.
Very fine detail, photographic images, or designs with many colour gradients. Embroidery works best with bold, clean logos and text. For complex artwork, DTF printing is a better fit.
Your logo is converted into a stitch file by our digitising team. We define stitch types, directions, density and colour sequences for the best possible result. This file is yours to keep.
We match your brand colours to our Madeira thread range — over 200 colours available. We'll use Pantone references where provided to ensure accurate brand colour reproduction.
Garments are hooped onto the embroidery machine frame and the stitch file is loaded. The machine stitches your design with precision at up to 800 stitches per minute.
Backing fabric is trimmed, any jump threads are removed, and each garment is quality checked against your proof before pressing and despatch.
Embroidery positions are specific to each garment type. Multiple positions can be combined on a single order.
The most popular position — a compact logo or text stitched over the left breast pocket area. The standard corporate placement.
Mirror placement of the left chest. Often used for a name or job title alongside a left chest logo.
Larger design stitched across the upper back. Ideal for club names, company names or large crest designs.
Small label-style embroidery just below the back collar. Great for brand tags, website URLs or subtle secondary branding.
Pricing is based on stitch count. A typical left chest logo of 5,000–8,000 stitches is included in the placement price shown. Designs over 10,000 stitches may incur a small additional charge — we'll always advise before production. A one-time digitising fee of £20–£30 applies to new designs, which is then waived on all future reorders.
Garment cost + embroidery position fee. One-time digitising fee for new artwork. All prices ex VAT.

+ position fee per embroidery location. One-time digitising fee £20–£30 for new artwork (waived on reorders).
We recommend a minimum of 6 items for embroidery to make the digitising cost worthwhile. On reorders (using the same existing digitised file), we can accommodate smaller quantities.
Digitising is the process of converting your artwork into a stitch file the embroidery machine can read. It's a one-time cost of £20–£30 depending on design complexity. Once created, your file is stored free of charge and reused on every future order at no extra cost.
Up to 15 thread colours per design. However, simpler designs with fewer colours generally produce the sharpest, most professional results. Gradients and photographic effects are not possible with embroidery — for those, consider DTF printing.
A vector file (AI, EPS, or PDF) is ideal for digitising as it can be scaled without loss of quality. A high-resolution PNG or JPG (300dpi+) is also acceptable. The cleaner and simpler your artwork, the better the embroidered result will be.
Embroidery works best on medium-to-heavyweight fabrics — polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, fleeces and workwear. Very lightweight or stretchy fabrics (performance tees, thin jersey) are not ideal as the stabilising backing can affect garment drape. We'll advise if your chosen garment isn't suited.
Embroidery is effectively permanent. The stitches are part of the fabric and will not peel, crack or fade. With normal care (wash inside out at 40°C or below), an embroidered garment will look as good on its hundredth wash as the first.
